Bystedt

Mr. Bystedt started wrestling in Iowa in 1976.
He started in Karate and Okinawan Kobudo in 1981. First Shorin Ryu, then Isshin Ryu.
In 1986 he began studying Advincula's Combat Escrima and Yang style Taijiquan.
He started training in Phan Ku Ryu in 1993. Mr. Bystedt has also trained in Brazillian Jujitsu with Aurrelio Gallegos and some of Mr. Gallegos instructors.
He has been doing a lot of work in Hakutsuru and Machimura Ito Ryu for the past couple of years with Master Ronald Lindsey.
He has done some training in Aikido, Kempo, Bagua (Mr. Masich), Chinese White Crane and Qinna (Dr. Yang), Xing I and Praying Mantis (Dr. Ruben Lerma)
Mr. Bystedt has a B.S. in Kinesiology and an A.S. in Computer Programming.
He is a registered massage therapist who has studied accupressure, Chinese massage (with Dr. Yang), Thai massage and reflexology.
Mr. Bystedt has taught at the CC Park & Rec's, YMCA, CC Naval Air Station, Trinity Towers, Senior Friends, Spohn Hospital and the Delos Mind-Body Institute. He currently teaches at the Academy of Asian Martial Arts, Spohn Hospital and Texas A&M.
